Nepal records 658 COVID-19 cases on Monday

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 4,296 on Monday as 405 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 995,646 while the death toll remains at 11,993 as one fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 979,357 with 456 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 6,643 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,381 were PCR tests while 3,262 were antigen tests.
With this, a total of 5,873,796 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 253 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.4%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
