Nepal records 221 COVID-19 cases on Monday

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 05

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 2,444 on Monday as 122 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 997,990 while the death toll remains at 12,007 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 983,539 with 206 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,058 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,519 were PCR tests while 2,539 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,898,186 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 99 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.6%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
