Nepal romp to 4-0 victory over Bhutan in Women's SAFF Championship

Striker Sabitra Bhandari and Anita Basnet notched a brace each to propelled Nepal to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bhutan in the SAFF Women's Championship in Kathmandu, on Tuesday.
Playing in-front of the home crowd at the Dashrath Stadium, Bhandari opened the scoring in the 12th minute assisted by Amisha Karki. Bhandari scored her brace in the 68th minute and doubled the Nepal's lead to 2-0.
After relentless pressure, Nepal's Anita Basnet also scored a brace in the 73th and 84th minute in the second half, in the waterlogged pitch.
Along with host Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives and Bhutan are participating in this edition of SAFF Championship.
