Nepal records 74 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 20

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 1,619 on Tuesday as 74 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 999,355 while the death toll remains at 12,016 as no fatality was recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 985,7200 with 165 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,512 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,535 were PCR tests while 1,977 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,925,000 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 35 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.6%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
