RAUTAHAT, SEPTEMBER 25

A fund sent by the government for the impoverished community that found itself at the receiving end of the COV- ID-19 crisis is yet to be distributed in Rautahat's Durga Bhagawati Rural Municipality.

An account at the Sunrise Bank in Durga Bhagawati has 4.15 million rupees to be distributed among 415 impoverished families that were worst affected by the coronavirus across all five wards of the local level.

Earlier, the bank had first written to the rural municipality office asking it to send the list of victims who would receive the relief by mid-August.

After that, the second time, the bank prodded the rural municipality to send the name list of victims who would get the relief about a month ago again.

Sources have blamed politics for delay in the distribution of the fund.
