Nepal records 59 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 02
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 553 on Wednesday day as 59 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 1,000,631 while the death toll remains at 12,019 as no fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 988,059 with 21 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,642 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,602 were PCR tests while 2,040 were antigen tests.
With this, a total of 5,958,956 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 13 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
