BARA, NOVEMBER 6

Following the release of a ward chair, a 'chakkajam' was cleared at Bara's Jitpur.

Locals had staged chakkajam after police nabbed Chair Sunil Gupta of Ward No 7 of Jitpursimara Sub-metropolitan earlier today.

Area Police Office, Simara, DSP Yubaraj Timilsina said that the agitation came to an end after ward chair Gupta was freed.

After the chakkajam was cleared, vehicular movement resumed.

Agitating locals of the ward had vowed to continue with the agitation until the ward chair was freed.

Two persons, including ward chair Gupta, were nabbed after they padlocked the office of the sub-metropolis and obstructed regular work at the sub-metropolis.
