Heads of major parties lead in their respective constituencies

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22

​​​​​​Top leaders of major political parties have taken a comfortable lead against their contenders in their respective constituencies.

Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is currently leading in Dadeldhura 1 with 6880 votes while his closest contender, independent candidate Sagar Dhakal is trailing with 3666 votes.

Likewise, in Jhapa-5, CPN UML chair KP Sharma Oli is at the forefront with 8978 votes while NC's Khagendra Adhikari is behind him with 5448 votes.

At the same time, NCP Maoist Center chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has taken a wide lead in his constituency, Gorkha-2, with 4832 votes as against Rastriya Swatantra Party's Kabindra Burlakoti's 1424 votes.

Chairperson of CPN Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal is leading in Rautahat 1 with 7140 votes while UML's Ajay Kumar Gupta has so far secured 6695 votes.

Meanwhile, president of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Rajendra Lingden is currently leading Jhapa-3 with 5274 votes while NC's Krishna Sitaula has garnered 3788 votes so far.
