Nepal suffer 8-wickets loss to Scotland

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 8
Nepal slumped to eight-wickets loss to Scotland in the final match of the ICC World Cricket League-2 triangular series in Namibia.
Opting to bat first, Nepal were skittled out for a meagre score of 119 in 36 overs. Skipper Rohit Paudel top-scored 47 runs off 57 balls with four boundaries and two maximum hits.
Dipendra Singh Airee and Sompal Kamal scored 14 and 16 runs respectively. Namibian bowlers Brandon McMullen, Safyaan Sharif and Mark Watt chipped in with two wickets each.
In reply, the hosts chased down the paltry score in 17 overs. Christopher McBride hit 46 off just 40 balls with seven hit to the boundary. Later, he was adjuded man-of-the-match for his blistering knock.
Nepal's bowlers Gulshan Jha and Dipendra Singh Airee took a wicket each.
With this result, Nepal sit on the bottom one position above PNG on 18 points in the seven teams table.
