LALITPUR: Pushpanjali Secondary School and Bhaktapur NIST School registered victories in the 25th Father Moran Memorial Primary School Invitational Football Tournament here at the SXG grounds on Thursday.

Pushpanjali defeated Godawari Residential School 3-1. Player-of-thematch Yujal Rai scored a brace for Pushpanjali, while Samar Nepali of Godawari netted an own goal. Aavik Shrestha replied for Godawari. In another match, Bhaktapur NIST edged past Triyog High School 4-3. Playerof-the-match Syaron Katuwal scored a hat-trick and Simit Gautam added one for Bhaktapur NIST. Krischal Ghorasaini netted two and Aarambha Singh Khadayat scored one for Triyog.

Likewise, the match between Dolphin English Secondary School and William Public School ended in a goalless draw. Sanjan Gautam of William was named the player of the match. In all, 16 teams are taking part in the silver jubilee edition of the tournament organised by St Xavier's Godavari.
