LALITPUR: Defending champions Maya Universe Academy and St. Xavier's Deonia recorded victories in the 25th Father Moran Memorial Primary School Invitational Football Tournament here at the SXG grounds on Saturday.

Maya Universe thrashed Adarsha Vidhya Mandir HS School 11-0.

Player-of-the-match Ebash BK scored four goals alone and Amir Dura netted two for the winners.

Ankit Achchhami, Saphal Chepang, Bibek Pariyar and Manjil Shrestha added one each, while AVM's Aaju Maharjan scored an own goal. In another match, SXD defeated William Public School 4-1. Player-of-thematch Aarav Acharya scored a hattrick, while Swarup Parajuli added one for SXD. Bishal Blon replied for William. Likewise, Nepal Don Bosco School and Modern Indian School played a 1-1 draw. Suresh Tamang scored for Nepal Don Bosco, while Prapanna Adhikari netted for MIS.

Rojak Maharjan of Don Bosco was named the player of the match. A total of 16 teams are taking part in the tournament organised by St Xavier's Godavari.
