LALITPUR: Little Angels' School thrashed Triyog High School 8-0 and advanced to the quarter-finals of the 25th Father Moran Memorial Primary School Invitational Football Tournament here on Sunday.

Player-of-thematch Smit Rawat scored four goals and Raghav Kumar Yadav netted two for LAS. Biswasta Marasini and Samar Bikram Chhetri of Triyog scored own goals. With their third straight victory, LAS topped Group C with nine points. Likewise, Modern Indian School defeated Pushpanjali 4-0.

Player-of-the-match Prapanna Adhikari scored a brace, while Yujal Rai and Badiram Majhi of Pushpanjali netted own goals. MIS accumulated seven points to make it to last eight from Group D. Also, hosts St Xavier's Godavari beat Vidhya Sanskar 2-0.

Player-of-the-match Sandesh Tudu scored one goal for SXG, while Ashim Tamang of Vidhya Sanskar netted an own goal. Defending champions Maya Universe topped Group A, while SXG finished second. St Xavier's Jawalakhel have advanced to the last eight from Group B, while other teams will join them after last league round matches on Monday.
