KATHMANDU, JANUARY 3

'Shunya ko Mulya' (The Value of Zero), a book written by paediatrician Dr Navaraj KC has been released.

The book was jointly launched by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Dr Aruna Uprety, Dr Rita Thapa and actress Surakshya Panta in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Child health specialist Dr KC, who has been stationed in his home district Surkhet for long, has brought forth his first literary work in the form of this book in association with publishers Sangri~La Books.

During the book-launch event, the guests talked in length about how the book reflects the actual state of Karnali from a sociological lens.

Likewise, the realistic and science-based factual depiction of issues surrounding public health in the region was also discussed at large.

Former PM Bhattarai said that the book is a perfect combination of art, creativity and science and that it touches the right emotional strings as the reader goes through the pages.

The book is now available at all major bookstores across various parts of the country.
