KATHMANDU: Nepal Weightlifting Association's First Vice-president Parth Sarathi Sen Gupt was elected as the executive committee member of the Asian Weightlifting Association.

According to NWA President Ram Shrestha, Gupt earned 38 votes in the elections participated in by representatives of 44 nations in Doha on Thursday.

Gupt was the Secretary of the Technical Committee of the AWA in the previous term.

NWA General Secretary Tilak Raut also participated in the AWA congress.
