WHR selects 22 leaders

KATHMANDU: Women for Human Rights, single women group (WHR), an NGO, on Friday selected 22 participants from among the group of 44,000 single women, to work for the rights of single women. Lily Thapa, president of WHR, said that these women were selected to work for the socio-cultural, economical, legal and political empowerment of the single women. WHR is also organising two-day capacity-building training that got underway here. Thapa informed that the major objective of the programme was to develop the leadership capabilities of single women at the district-level, so as to enable them to lead the single women movement from their respective districts.
