TIA recorded more than 132,000 flights last year

Kathmandu, January 18

A total of 108,202 domestic flights and 24,312 international flights were conducted through the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in 2022, as per the latest data.

While the passenger movement count by domestic air service providers totalled 4.46 million, about 3.48 million passengers travelled via international airlines.

The number of domestic arrivals at TIA reached 54,095 last year, with 54,167 departures from the capital.

Similarly, 2,307.413 tonnes of cargo were sent, and 783.228 tonnes of cargo received in the domestic terminal of TIA in the previous year.

Likewise, a total of 12,154 departures of international airlines were recorded, along with 12,158 arrivals in 2022.

The total numbers of passengers travelling internationally were 3.48 million - 1.93 million departures and 1.55 million arrivals.

Likewise, 13,472.012 tonnes of cargo left the country via international airlines while 13,204 tonnes entered in 2022.
