NSJF, Pulsar renew agreement for Sports Award

The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum and Hansraj Hulaschand and Company Pvt Ltd extended the sponsorship agreement for the Pulsar Sports Award slated for March 7 at the Nepal Academy hall.
NSJF President Durga Nath Subedi and Hansraj Hulaschand and Company Director Abhimanyu Golchha exchanged the memorandum of understanding amidst a ceremony.
Thanking Hansraj Hulaschand and Company for its continued support, NSJF President Subedi said the agreement was the beginning of the new five-year deal.
According to the NSJF, out of the nine categories of the Award, five winners - male, female, youth, coach and people's choice - would be awarded with Pulsar motorcycle each, while four others - special, para-athlete, lifetime achievement and Asian journalist - will receive Rs 50,000 apiece.
Hansraj Hulaschand and Company Director Golchha said his organisation was honoured to be a part of the Award.
'We have entered into the 14th year of association with the NSJF and we feel proud to get the opportunity to help and support athletes,' he said. 'The Pulsar Sports Award is the only platform that brings players,coaches and officials together for the betterment of Nepali sports,' Golchha added.
'Sports plays distinguish role in the development of the nation and it is the only field that helps in team building, setting goals and showing sportsman spirit among others.'
Golchha said his company was associated with different events in various sports disciplines.
'We are a leading brand in 70 countries in the world and we are deeply connected with youth,' he said. 'And this year we have decided to add one more bike to the youth category winner in the Pulsar Sports Award.'
NSJF General Secretary Prajwal Oli said the preparation of the ceremony had already begun with the formation of various committees. 'The Players Selection Committee has already started its work and we will come up with the nominees of People's Choice category in a couple of days,' Oli said.
'We will announce nominees of male, female, youth and coach categories in due course, while the winners of the special, para-athlete, lifetime achievement and Asian journalist categories will be directly announced at the ceremony,' he added.
