FinMin tells RBS, RBC to complete audit within three months

Kathmandu, January 30

The Ministry of Finance has directed the Rastriya Beema Sansthan (RBS) and Rastriya Beema Company (RBC) to complete their audit within three months.

During a meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel said that the failure to conduct the audit was a matter of concern and instructed the two entities to complete the audit within April 29.

RBS and RBC have not had their financial statement audited since the financial year 2016-17.

Finance Minister Paudel has also instructed the two entities not to proceed with bonus and dividend distribution until the audit is completed.

Along with Revenue Secretary Ram Prasad Ghimire, the meeting was also attended by Chairperson of Nepal Insurance Authority Surya Prasad Silwal, Chief Administrator of Rastriya Beema Sansthan Kabi Prasad Pathak, Chief Executive of Rastriya Beema Company Shekhar Baral, among others.
