Nepal go down to Bangladesh in final

KATHMANDU: Nepal faced a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the final of the SAFF U-20 Women's Championship in Dhaka on Thursday. Shaheda Akter Ripa, Sahnsunnahr and Unnoti Khatun scored one each goal for the hosts.

Bangladesh had defeated Nepal 3-1 in the league round match.

Bangladesh skipper Shamsunnahar was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament and she was also the highest scorer with five goals.

Bangladesh goalkeeper Rupna Chakma was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
