Nepal gets first tranche of dialysis machines

Ambassador of India to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over the first tranche (20) of 200 kidney dialysis machines to the Government of Nepal in a ceremony at the Ministry of Health.
The Government of India had promised to provide 200 kidney dialysis machines to the Government of Nepal.
Ambassador Srivastava handed over the machine to Minister of Health and Population Padam Giri at a ceremony at the ministry.
About a year ago, the Government of Nepal had requested the Government of India to provide the machines. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Giri expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for providing the machines. He said that even during the earthquake of 2015 and the COV- ID-19 crisis, the Indian government had provided assistance and the Nepali people would always remember the humanitarian assistance.
Minister Giri said relations between Nepal and India had been close economically and socially. He said, 'It has been 76 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. There has been harmonious relationship between the two countries, not only at the government level, but also at the people's level.'
