Dahakot Health Post building has developed cracks due to the earthquake in Gaumul Rural Municipality in Bajura.

The earthquake on January 20 with its epicentre in Bichhayan of Himali Rural Municipality had hit the western part of the country. Following the cracks, it has become very difficult for the hospital to provide health service. Health workers are compelled to provide the service to patients risking their lives.

Auxiliary Mid-wife at the health post Sarita Bista said that they had been providing services with constant fear. 'We are even compelled to provide services to patients in the open as patients are afraid to enter the building,' she added.

'Even pregnant women are given health services in the open,' she added. The health workers complained that it was very difficult to provide parturition service.

Similarly, the building belonging to Livestock Service Department has also received cracks due to the tremor.
