Nepal records 38 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

KATHMANDU, APRIL 02

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal has reached 194, on Sunday as 37 persons tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The nationwide COVID-19 infection tally remains at 1,001,421 while the death toll remains at 12,020 as no fatality was recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 989,207 with 14 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 701 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 185 were PCR tests while 516 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 6,020,822 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed one positive case in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
