Nepal records 136 COVID-19 cases on Friday

KATHMANDU, APRIL 14

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal has reached 401, on Friday as 136 persons tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The nationwide COVID-19 infection tally remains at 1,002,107 while the death toll remains at 12,022 as one fatality was recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 989,684 with 68 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 1,424 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 197 were PCR tests while 1,227 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 6,026,085 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed five positive case in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
