Communication system failure at TIA, flights halted for two hours

KATHMANDU, APRIL 23

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) had come to a standstill for two hours due to a communication system failure that occurred on Sunday afternoon. As a result, all international and domestic flights were affected for the past two hours, following the problems in communication between the TIA tower and aircraft.

Gyanendra Bhul, Deputy Manager and Information Officer at TIA has confirmed that the flights have now resumed.

This communication system failure caused inconvenience to the passengers who were scheduled to fly in and out of the airport.
