KATHMANDU: A high-level security meeting was held in the Armed Police Force headquarters on January 14. It focussed on providing tight security to the VIPs, APF sources told THT. Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Minister of Home Affairs Bhim Bahadur Rawal, Chief Regional Administrative Officers, Inspectors General of APF and Nepal Police and officers from National Investigation Department were present. The PM expressed disappointment at security lapses in Chitwan and Butwal recently, where some groups pelted stones and even ventured close to a VIP vehicle in front of 900 security personnel.
