KATHMANDU: Himalayan Life Insurance Ltd (HLI), formed by the merger of Prime Life Insurance, Gurans Life Insurance and Union Life Insurance, has officially started its business.

These three companies had signed a preliminary agreement to merge a year ago, as per a media release.

After completing the merger process within one year, the integrated business started under the name of Himalayan Life Insurance Ltd.

Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority Surya Prasad Silwal formally launched the integrated business in a special ceremony held here.
