Maoist Centre discusses budget, PM Dahal's upcoming India visit

The PM expressed commitment to carry out activities with a clear stance to control corruption, promote good governance and investigate irregularities.

KATHMANDU, MAY 30

The parliamentary party meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) today discussed the annual budget presented by the government for coming fiscal year, 2080/81 and the imminent India visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

During the meeting held at the CPN (Maoist Centre) Parliamentary Party office at Singha Durbar, lawmakers enquired about upcoming India visit of PM Dahal, budget presented by the government and campaign against corruption initiated by the government.

On the occasion, Prime Minister and Parliamentary Party leader Dahal said the budget for coming fiscal year was balanced and it addressed current national necessities, said lawmaker Madhav Sapkota quoting PM Dahal.

The PM expressed commitment to carry out activities with a clear stance to control corruption, promote good governance and investigate irregularities.

'PM Dahal said the government will make the upcoming India visit as successful as possible and will not make any compromise creating wrong message among the Nepali people', said Sapkota quoting PM Dahal.

After the parliamentary party meeting, orientation related to budget is underway at the office. Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission and member Dr Ram Kumar Phunyal has been facilitating the orientation.
