Nepal suffers a 5-0 loss to Myanmar in AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers

In the opening match of the second round of the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers, Nepal's hopes were shattered as they faced a resounding defeat against the home team, Myanmar, on Tuesday.
Despite their determination to present a tough challenge, Nepal struggled to find the back of the net throughout the game. Myanmar's Yin Loon Eain proved to be the star of the match, scoring a remarkable hat-trick in the 44th, 47th, and 90th minutes. Additionally, Zin Moe Pyae found the net in the 22nd minute, while Yoon Wadi Hlaing scored in the 69th minute, adding to Nepal's woes.
In the other Group B fixture, China managed a narrow 1-0 victory over Chinese Taipei on the same day. Nepal's upcoming match in the group will be against China on Thursday.
The AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers, taking place in Myanmar, serve as a crucial stage to determine the teams that will advance to the 2024 AFC U-20 Asian Cup finals. Alongside Nepal, China, Myanmar, and Chinese Taipei compete in Group B.
Nepal had earned their place in the second round by triumphing over the host nation, Palestine, and North Marina Island in the first round of qualification. In both matches, Nepal showcased their dominance with convincing 6-0 victories.
