Kristin Harila, Tenjen Sherpa scale 9 peaks in 45 days, to complete all 14 in 3 months

Norwegian woman climber Kristin Harila along with Nepali Sherpa climber Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa has completed nine mountains over 8,000m in just 45 days as they stood atop Mt Manaslu this morning.

According to Chhang Dawa Sherpa, Expedition Director at Seven Summit Treks, Kristin along with Sherpa climbers reached the Manaslu real summit at around 3:30am. 'Kristin, Tenjen, Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Nima Dorchi Sherpa, Chhongba Sherpa, Kaji Sherpa and Sonam Tashi Sherpa scaled Mt Manaslu,' he added.

Earlier, Kristin and Tenjen climbed Mt Annapurna on June 5 and Mt Dhaulagiri on May 29.

The multiple record holder climbers have scaled Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse on May 23.

The duo also climbed Kanchenjunga on May 18. Kristin along with Tenjen started her project by climbing Mt Shishapangma on April 26. Then, she scaled Mt Cho Oyu in Tibet. On May 15, she scaled Mt Makalu. Kristin, who holds multiple fastest climbing records, has already become the first woman climber to make the fastest ascent of 14 peaks above 8,000m in just one year and five days, Seven Summit Treks said.

Kristin along with Tenjen aims to complete all 14 peaks in just three months. The climbers will head for Pakistan in a couple of days to attempt to scale remaining five peaks including K2.
