Pandey climbs Mt Elbrus

KATHMANDU: Nepali mountaineer Prakash Raj Pandey has climbed Mt. Elbrus, the highest peak of Europe. He climbed the mountain two times in two days, 28th and 29th of June, 2023. Pandey is on a mission to complete all seven summits, all the highest peaks of seven continents.
Pandey along with the guide Chatur Tamang started to trek early dawn on 28th June at 3 am and successfully climbed the continental highest point at 6:15 am. He also ascended the peak for the second time the next day at 6:00 am. Pandey said he scaled the Elbrus east on the 29th of June at 9:00am.
With his latest ascent, Chatur scaled Mt Elbrus for 128th time.
The expedition was organized by Cha Tours Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. Famous comedian duo Maha Jodi (Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya) had bid farewell to Pandey by handing over the flag of Nepal, offering their best wishes for his successful mission to conquer the highest mountains on all seven continents.
