SBL's profits surge

KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Ltd (SBL) has published its unaudited financial statements for the fiscal year 2022-23.

The bank has improved its financial position with remarkable performance in the fourth quarter, as per a media release.

In the last financial year, the bank has collected Rs 32.10 billion in deposits from customers, taking the total deposits to Rs 223.65 billion.

While the deposits of the overall banks and financial institutions in the first 11 months of the last financial year had increased by 12.25 per cent, SBL's had gone up by 16.765 per cent.

Bank's credit and equity increased by 2.285 per cent to Rs 189.21 billion. According to published financial statements, the bank earned Rs 3.19 billion in profit.
