Flood-hit areas inspected

Nepali Congress Madhes Province President also the Physical Infrastructure Development of the province Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav has taken the details of tdamage of flood in Rautahat from the chief district officer.
CDO Dhamendra Kumar Mishra informed that as many as 175 households have been directly affected by the flood in Bagmati, Jhanja and Lalbakaiya rivers. He said that relief to the flood victims has been distributed from the District Disaster Management Committee.
More than 50 families in Bairiya village have been affected after the dam at Lalbakaiya River collapsed. Of them, 15 families have been staying in the relief camp while others have returned to their respective homes. CDO Mishra said that a mess was operated to feed the families.
Minister Yadav directed the CDO to manage trelief to the flood victims immediately through the district disaster management committee. Minister Yadav and his team, along with the district security team, reached the flood affected areas and took details of the natural disaster. The team reached Badharwa, Chandiha, Bhrmapuri and Laxmipur, among other places. The floods in the rivers have directly affected life in the district.
