KATHMANDU, AUGUST 14

Main opposition CPN (UML) has continued to obstruct today's meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) demanding the formation of a high level committee to probe the gold smuggling case.

Once the meeting began, UML lawmaker Manbir Rai stated that Tribhuvan International Airport had become a transit for gold smuggling. He announced the continuation of the House obstructions by the party.

Despite repeated requests from Speaker Devraj Ghimire to let the House resume its business, the UML lawmakers obstructed the session by chanting slogans in protest.

The HoR will next meet at 1: 00 pm on coming 20 August.
