KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc, the authorised distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co Ltd in Nepal, has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup - the BYD Dolphin at the introductory price of Rs 3.98 million, which is inclusive of 7kW home charger.

BYD Dolphin is a pure electric vehicle and the first offering from BYD's Ocean series in Nepal, as per a media release.

BYD Dolphin is equipped with a 44.9 kWh Blade Battery which provides a range of 340 km (WLTP). BYD Dolphin is built on the state-of-the-art BYD e-Platform 3.0 designed particularly for pure electric vehicles.

It is based on a cell-to-pack (CTP) technology, which nest batteries within the vehicle body, creating a sandwich-like structure that incorporates the Blade Battery and the tray.
