APM, Xiom ink deal

KATHMANDU: APM Pvt Ltd and Xiom Nepal signed the sponsorship agreement for the third Nepal APM Table Tennis Championship to be held next month, on Sunday.

APM Director Dan Bahadur Mahata and Xiom Nepal Director Jackie Maharjan exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding.

As per the agreement, Xiom will provide the organisers APM with TT equipment worth Rs 600,000. In return, Xiom will be the title sponsor, while Tagro is the official ball partner of the tournament which is also supported by All Nepal Table Tennis Association and Nepal Olympic Committee.

Around 300 players from Nepal, India, China, South Korea and Japan are expected to take part in the tournament which features nine events - Cadet Boys' Singles, Cadet Girls' Singles, Junior Boys' Singles, Junior Girls' Singles, Open Team Event, above-40 Veteran singles, above-50 Veteran singles, above-60 Veteran singles and above-40 Veteran Women's singles.
