PM Dahal meets Chinese leader Wang Xiaohui in Chengdu

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 29

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal met with Wang Xiaohui, the Secretary of Sichuan Province, in Chengdu City on Friday during his official visit to Nepal's northern neighboring country, China. PM Dahal had arrived in Chengdu from Lhasa city on Friday.

During their bilateral meeting, PM Dahal acknowledged that Chengdu holds a special place for Nepal as it is not only geographically close but also serves as a trade center for Nepali businesspersons.

He expressed his appreciation for the importance that China has given to the Nepali delegation and congratulated Secretary Wang on China's development, spanning from physical infrastructure to information technology. PM Dahal also highlighted China's continued assistance to Nepal, even during challenging times.

PM Dahal further emphasized that his visit to China would strengthen the friendship and intimacy between the two countries. This information was shared by PM's press advisor, Govinda Acharya.

Secretary Wang, on his part, noted that Nepal and China often share similar voices at international forums, and China is committed to Nepal's progress by extending assistance in various economic sectors. He also congratulated PM Dahal on the success of his visit to China.

The Nepali delegation led by PM Dahal is set to return home tomorrow.
