KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 6

The Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office has issued a notice advising passengers arriving from abroad and Nepali citizens residing overseas to refrain from carrying certain items, including emergency lights, power banks, irons, hair dryers, mixers (grinders), and water extraction machines.

The Customs Office at TIA has indicated that these items appear suspicious when subjected to X-ray screening, leading to the necessity of opening and inspecting them, causing inconvenience to passengers.

Head of the Customs Department at TIA, Tok Raj Pandey, said that bringing these items through the airport has inconvenienced passengers. 'Thus, the office has urged individuals not to bring such items with them when entering Nepal and also advised against sending them to their families via cargo services,' he added.
