PM Dahal expresses determination to resolve problems in the health sector

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his determination to promptly address the issues within the health sector.
He made these remarks at a program organized by the Ministry of Health and Population on the occasion of World Mental Health Day and White Coat Day.
Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the need to swiftly find solutions to the problems within the health sector through collaborative efforts with the relevant ministries. He stated, 'I am committed to resolving the issues in the health sector, and we will work in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry for Education, Science, and Technology.'
In extending well wishes for good health and a long life to all citizens on World Mental Health Day, PM Dahal highlighted ongoing efforts to expand mental health services.
PM Dahal emphasized his consistent encouragement of the Health Minister to propose new plans and programs aimed at developing the health sector and providing improved healthcare services to the people.
Furthermore, Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, shared that the government is taking initiatives to ensure quality treatment is accessible to all, particularly in the face of the growing challenge of mental illness.
He expressed a commitment to creating job quotas for employees within the health sector, managing healthcare equipment, and enhancing services at government hospitals within the next six months.
During the event, various doctors, health workers, provincial hospitals, local levels, and NGOs were honored for their significant contributions to improving the overall health sector, including mental health.
