Deadline for Hajj submission extended until Nov 26

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 12

The Secretariat of the Nepal Hajj Committee has decided to extend the deadline for applying for Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, in 2024.

According to the Secretariat, any Nepali Muslim wishing to observe Hajj in 2024 now has until November 26 to submit the application. Initially, the deadline was set for November 8.

Committee acting Chair Makbul Miyan stated that the extension was granted in response to the demand for it.

The application form is available for download on the Secretariat's official website, and further details regarding this sacred journey for the Muslim community will be provided by the Singha Durbar-based Secretariat.

The government of Saudi Arabia has announced that it has allocated 1,200 quotas for the Nepali Muslim community to visit Mecca for Hajj 1445.
