Human error blamed for Yeti Airline plane crash, according to Report

The aircraft crash involving Yeti Airline that occurred in Pokhara on January 15, 2023, has been attributed to human error, according to the report submitted today by the Investigation Commission formed after the incident.
The Commission, coordinated by former Secretary Nagendra Prasad Ghimire, submitted its findings to Sudan Kirati, the Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation.
It took the Commission eight months and three days to conduct the investigation and prepare the report. The government had established a five-member probe commission on the day of the plane crash.
Retired Captain Deepak Prakash Bastola from the Nepali Army, retired Captain Sunil Thapa, aeronautical engineer Ekraj Jung Thapa, and Joint-Secretary Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation were among the members of the commission.
Upon receiving the report, Minister Kirati directed the relevant bodies to strictly implement the suggestions outlined by the Probe Commission.
