KATHMANDU, JANUARY 3

A meeting of the Judicial Council held on Wednesday recommended 39 judges for high courts. The meeting, chaired by Chief Justice Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha, put forth the names for high court judges.

Among the recommended judges, 26 are from district courts, four are from judicial service and public prosecutors, and nine are practicing judges from high courts.

The meeting also approved the transfer of 16 judges from high courts.
