Govt to deposit two billion rupees into Disaster Management Fund

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 10
The government has decided to contribute two billion rupees to the disaster management fund from the balance in the 'Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.'
This decision was made during the Council of Ministers meeting on Tuesday. The government has nominated 25 members to the National Development Council from various district coordination committees, local levels, officials, and individuals of various agencies.
Announcing the Cabinet's decision at a press conference today, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma stated that the Cabinet has decided to rectify the details of the martyrs and publish the names of those not included in the Nepal Gazette.
Additionally, the Cabinet has approved the negotiation team and agenda for the Nepal-India Commerce Joint Secretary-level intergovernmental sub-committee meeting scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on January 12 and 13.
On a different note, Minister Sharma reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining law and order in the country.
She emphasized the government's seriousness regarding the recent untoward incidents in different parts of the country.
