Minister Jwala hands over RFID devices to Nepal Police

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 31
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, handed over five RFID devices capable of reading embossed number plates to the Nepal Police.
Minister Jwala presented the Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) to Deputy Inspector General of Police Bharat Bohara during a program held at the Ministry today.
The Department of Transport Management announced that 100 more RFIDs would soon be provided to the Police. Additionally, the Department is in the process of installing embossed plate reading gates at various transit points across the country.
Transport Minister Jwala emphasized the significance of the RFID system for vehicle security and other related purposes, especially with the installation of embossed number plates on vehicles.
A demonstration illustrating the functionality of this system was also conducted during the event.
