Gold surges by Rs 400, silver gains in domestic markets

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 21

The domestic gold market saw a notable surge, with gold prices increasing by Rs 400 per tola. Simultaneously, silver saw an uptick of Rs 5 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Silver and Gold Dealers' Association (FeNeGoSiDA), fine gold is currently being traded at Rs 118,400 per tola, showing an increase from yesterday's rate of Rs 118,000 per tola, which had remained stable for a day.

Similarly, tejabi gold is now priced at Rs 117,850 per tola, up from Rs 117,450 per tola on Tuesday.

The trend in gold prices has been steadily upward since the initial decline of Rs 1,500 per tola in the first two days of the Falgun month. Similarly, the price of silver has also exhibited gain in the domestic market.

Currently, silver is being traded at Rs 1,415 per tola, slightly up from its Tuesday rate of Rs 1,410 per tola.
