KATHMANDU, MARCH 14

Devotees adorned in the idol of the deity Dipankara Buddha parade around the ancient city during the Samyak festival, which occurs once in four years at Patan in Lalitpur, Nepal on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

A unique emphasis of this festival is the display of various large idols of Dipankara Buddha in the courtyard.

People from all over the city come to offer prayers to idols of Lord Dipankara Buddha.
