Vehicular traffic closed on Kanti Highway

KATHMANDU, MARCH 14

Vehicular traffic has been closed on a section of the Kanti Highway connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu since this morning.

The closure will remain in effect until April 27, 2024, as a section of the highway located at Bhattedanda, Lalitpur, needs repair and maintenance, as per the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

According to Deputy Superintendent Laxmi Bhandari, spokesperson for the District Police Office Makawanpur, the Department of Roads has informed them about this closure.

Bhandari added that vehicles using the Kathmandu-Kanti Highway are advised to use the Thankot-Chitlang-Hetauda road during this period.

The Area Police Office, Makawanpur, stated that more than 2,000 light vehicles ply the Kathmandu-Kanti Highway daily.
