Present coalition is not power-focused, Oli argues

Former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has stated that the current ruling alliance was not established to serve the interests of the participating parties. Oli emphasized that the parties within the ruling alliance are dedicated to the nation's prosperity.

Inaugurating the 11th district convention of CPN (UML) Jhapa on Thursday, Oli asserted that the present government is striving to fulfill the national aspirations of a Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis.

Dismissing the possibility of an alliance shift between CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress, Oli advocated for healthy political competition between the two parties.

During the event, Chairman Oli disclosed that his party is fully focused on 'Mission 84' at present, aiming to form a single majority government after the upcoming general election in 2084 BS.

Additionally, the party honored veteran leaders of the UML and other individuals contributing to the prosperity of Jhapa district.

Those recognized included UML vice-chair Ashta Laxmi Shakya, Amrit Kumar Bohora, Naresh Kharel, Kalidas Shrestha, Shova Kunwar, Prithvi Mainali, and others.
