KATHMANDU, MAY 7

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that certain areas in Bagmati and Koshi provinces are currently experiencing light rainfall due to a low-pressure system forming near Bihar, India, combined with westerly and local winds.

Similarly, the Department forecasts that some parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will experience moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning, thunder, and storms during the day, while heavy rainfall is predicted in some areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall is expected in a few locations in the upper hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

A partial change in weather is anticipated during the upcoming night.

The Department has urged concerned parties to take precautions in response to the changing weather conditions. Agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transport sectors are reminded to adhere to safety measures.
