Heavy rainfall is expected in multiple provinces today, including Bagmati, Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini, as reported by the Meteorological Forecast Division.

The MFD predicts partly to generally cloudy weather patterns across the country, continuing into the night.

Additionally, some areas may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds this afternoon. As night falls, expect similar conditions in select areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

In the past 24 hours, Okhaldhunga recorded the highest rainfall at 33.7 mm, followed by Taplejung with 25.5 mm. The Kathmandu valley witnessed 3 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Furthermore, the MFD anticipates a chance of light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous regions of the country today and tonight.

These weather patterns are influenced by western winds, local winds, and a low-pressure system forming around the Indian state of Bihar.
