PM Oli directs relevant authorities to prevent air accidents

KATHMANDU, JULY 24

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the relevant authorities to take measures to prevent tragic incidents like plane crashes in the future.

After visiting the crash site at Tribhuvan International Airport today, Prime Minister Oli received a briefing at the rescue coordination center of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. He emphasized that everyone must work to ensure such incidents do not recur.

He urged the concerned authorities to determine the cause of the incident, whether it was due to human error or a technical failure. He described the incident as very tragic and unimaginable.

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, and acting Chief Secretary Leela Devi Gadtaula were also present.

Eighteen people died when a Pokhara-bound Saurya Airlines aircraft from Kathmandu crashed at TIA on Wednesday morning.
